Stories by a child psychologist, for bedtime and beyond
Stories for the feelings children can't yet put into words.
Written by Dr. Clementina Almeida, a clinical psychologist licensed in Portugal who has spent 34 years with babies, young children and their families. Each tale helps your child put what feels hard into words and face it safely, at any time of day, whenever a big feeling shows up.
A child who won't sleep, clings at the door or explodes over a broken cracker isn't misbehaving. They're meeting a feeling that's bigger than their words. A good story gives that feeling a shape, a name and a way through.
Inside the app
One story, two layers
Each story is for your child. The Parent Note underneath is for you: what the story is working on, why it helps, and how to keep the conversation going.
Meet the psychologist
Clementina Almeida, PhD
Dr. Clementina Almeida has spent 34 years helping parents through the hardest parts of early childhood: the nights that won't end, the goodbyes at the door, the fears and big feelings that don't have words yet.
A licensed clinical psychologist, she specializes in babies, young children and their families, and has worked with thousands of them in her practice and in hospital baby clinics. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Coimbra, studied at the University of Salamanca, and is the author of nine children's books, including Olive the Sheep Can't Sleep (Charlesbridge).

How it works
Three steps, one story at a time
Each tale follows the same clinical arc, so your child practises the skill a little more every time they listen.
Name what's hard
A character your child recognises meets the same challenge: a worry, a goodbye, a new sibling, a feeling too big for words.
Face it safely
The story moves toward what feels hard at a pace a young child can handle, while your voice and your presence keep them safe.
Master it
The character finds a way through, and your child takes that way home with them to use the next day.
For the hard moments, day and night
Stories for what worries them
Stories suited to each child's age, from 2 to 10.
The Parent Note
The psychology behind every tale
Each story comes with a short note for you: what the story is working on, why it helps, and how to keep the conversation going afterwards. You don't need to be an expert. That's Dr. Almeida's job.
